As life gets busier, the regularity of a yoga practice becomes more important in terms of bringing balance to our lives.

  • Attending a weekly yoga class is a great way to set a foundation for a regular practice. It can inspire a home practice as well as providing a healthful break in the midst of a hectic week.
     
  • Setting aside some time to practice at home can extend the benefits we receive from a regular yoga class. Determine to practice 3 times/week at home separate from yoga class. Start and end the practice simply by deep breathing and focusing on the breath.
     
  • Regular yoga practice benefits us in the following ways (but is not limited to these):
     
  • Stretches and tones muscles
     
  • Develops strength and flexibility
     
  • Dramatically reduces the negative effects of stress
     
  • Helps the body relax
     
  • Brings greater balance to the body and mind
